Holly

She is my elder sister.  She was born in China on 9 Sept. 1948.  She passed away in her sleep in California on 24 April 2018.  While it was a swift death, she had long term ailment like asthma, etc.  She was a special lady.  Her first partner is Mike.  Her second partner is doc. Wayne.  Both men were exceedingly nice to her.

She told everyone that I am his favourite brother.  Every time she came to HK, she would ask me to accompany her to Mongkok to buy reading glasses.  She would spend a long time to get a discount of 10 to 15 HK$ for a pair.  I was furious with her on many occasions.  I thought since she was not short on money, she was being mean.  When she passed away, I went to pack her things for her.  Much to my dismay, I found many pairs of reading glasses.  I kicked myself then.  Maybe she wasn’t mindful of the 10 to 15 HK$ but was trying to spend more time with me.

She and I share the same temperament.  In French, we would say “a bowl of milk” meaning boiling over very quickly and live to regret it later on.

I really miss her.
